A Dhaka court today asked the Investigation Officer (IO) to submit by March 3 the probe report of a case filed by film actress Toma Mirza against her husband Hisham Chishti.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair Jessi passed the order as the IO failed to submit the report before the court on Sunday.
Earlier on December 5 last year, Toma Mirza filed the case against Hisham Chishti with Badda police station under Nari O Shishu Nirjaton Daman Ain (Women and Children Repression Prevention Act), Digital Security Act and accusing him of assaulting her for dowry.
Earlier on 7 May 2019, Toma Mirza tied the knot with the Toronto based entrepreneur Hisham Chisti.
Toma Mirza bagged the Bangladesh National Film Award in 2015 for Best Supporting Actress for the film Nodijo.
