Veteran historian Professor Muntasir Mamun, who was undergoing treatment at Mugda General Medical College and Hospital for coronavirus infection, recovered and returned home safely on Monday (May 18).
Dr Muntasir, a professor (Bangabandhu Chair) at the History department of Dhaka University, confirmed the matter and said, “I have returned home and now I’m in sound condition.”
On May 4, the professor was tested positive for coronavirus after being admitted to Mugda General Medical College and Hospital with respiratory problems.
