As part of the nationwide “March for Justice” programme on Wednesday, protesters and a section of teachers of Dhaka University (DU) have started marching towards the Supreme Court premises from Doel Chattar.

Shehreen Amin Monami, a faculty member of the Department of Public Administration at DU, has reportedly been injured in a scuffle with police near Curzon Hall on the university campus, UNB's DU correspondent reported.

Earlier around 12:30pm, protesters and the teachers started gathering at the Doel Chattar on the campus, responding to the programme announced yesterday.

Though there were allegations of obstruction by law enforcers, protesters were determined to hold the demonstration.

Meanwhile, some lawyers of the Supreme Court barred police when they were reportedly trying to detain two students on the court premises.

On Tuesday night, protesters under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement, announced the “March for Justice” program, planning to stage demonstrations at educational institutions, court premises, and major roads across the country.
