The government has suspended operations of all modes of public transports across Bangladesh during the fresh Covid restrictions the government imposed from 6:00am Monday to 6:00am Thursday.
Only goods-laden vehicles and rickshaws will be allowed to ply, according to a circular issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday.
Shopping malls, markets, tourist spots, resorts, community and entertainment centres would remain shut during the period, it said.
Food shops and restaurants can operate (online and takeaway services) from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
The government offices and private organizations would ensure presence of necessary officials and staffers on their own arrangements, the circular added.
The government is going to enforce partial restrictions on people’s movement from Monday and complete restrictions from Thursday to contain the Covid transmission in the country.
