A Dhaka court has set January 7 as the day for recording deposition of Prosecution Witnesses (PW) against Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim and seven others in a case filed over laundering 168 crore taka.
Judge Mohammad Nazrul Islam of Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-10 set the new date as the witnesses were not present before the court on Thursday.
Earlier on November 10, a Dhaka court framed charges against the eight people in the case.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Nayek Subedar Mizanur Rahman filed the case on September 21, 2019.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Sayeed filed the charge sheet in the case on August 4, making 26 people witnesses.
The other accused in the case are -- GK Shamim’s bodyguards Delwar Hossain, Murad Hossain, Jahidul Islam, Shahidul Islam, Kamal Hossain, Samsad Hossain and Aminul Islam.
