Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday sought China's role for the repatriation of the Rohingyas who are taking shelter in Bangladesh on humanitarian grounds.
During his meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen, Quader said the presence of Rohingyas is an additional burden and China can play its role for their repatriation to Myanmar.
The two sides spoke highly of the achievements in bilateral economic and trade cooperation, especially in road, transport and bridges area and implementation of mega projects and explored the way to further enhance cooperation in this regard to support the new government of Bangladesh.
