Members of Rapid Action Battalion in a drive on Saturday arrested five members of a carjacking group including its ringleader from Fatullah in Narayanganj.
Commander Khandkar Al Moin, director of RAB’s Legal and Media Wing briefed the media on the matter at a press conference on Saturday.
The arrestees are Azim Uddin, 38, Rafiq Ullah, 26, Salim, 50, Kamrul Hasan, 26, and Omar Faruq, 25.
RAB-4 also seized firearms, four pickup vans, ammunition, six mobile phones and Tk 12,000 during the drive, he said
They have managed to gather important information from the carjackers upon interrogation, he added.
