The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested six members of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), including their commander, from Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar district.
The arrested are - ARSA Commander Hafer Noor Mohammad, Mohammad Hossain Johar, Md Farooq, Monir Ahmed, Noor Islam and Md yashin.
On a tip-off, a team of RAB-15 conducted a drive in Shamlapur and arrested Noor Mohammad. Later, based on his information, the RAB arrested five others, said Abu Salam Chowdhury, senior assistant director of RAB-15 (law and media).
"The RAB is conducting drives to arrest other members of the group."
