The Rapid Action Battalion arrested Islamic orator Rafiqul Islam Madani at his home at Purbadhala in Netrokona early Wednesday, said the battalion's legal and media wing director Commander Khandaker Al Moin.
Al Moin said that Rafiqul was arrested for his provocative statements.
Earlier on March 25, Rafiqul was detained at Motijheel in Dhaka when he joined a procession protesting against Indian prime minister Narendra Modi's tour of Bangladesh. He was released later in the afternoon on the day.
