Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) received 92 complaints against Regent Group's chairman Shahed Karim alias Md Shahed within 24 hours of opening a hotline number and an email address to receive complains against him.
Confirming the matter on Saturday (July 18) RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Ashik Billah said, “A total 72 complaints have been received by telephone and 20 received in email against Shahed.”
Earlier on 17 July, RAB set up the hotline to receive complaints against Shahed.
The victims of his frauds can seek legal help by calling the hotline number 01777720211.
Besides, individuals can also send emails regarding the issue at rabhq.invest@gmail.com.
Earlier On 16 July, A Dhaka court placed Regent Group's chairman Shahed and managing director Masud Parvez on 10-day remand each in connection with cases filed over providing fake Covid-19 test reports and embezzlement of Tk 3.68 crore.
On July 15, Shahed was arrested near the Labangabati river in Debhata Upazila around 5.30 am.
