Rail communication of Dhaka with northern and southern districts of the country has remained halted as a freight train derailed in Sirajganj.
Two wagons of a freight train veered off the tracks near Ullapara railway station around 2pm on Friday, snapping train services on several routes.
Confirming the matter, Sirajganj railway official Asanur Rahman said they are working to salvage the derailed wagons.
