The railway authorities on Sunday announced that the train services – suspended earlier during the quota reform movement – are being re-launched across the country.
Making the announcement, a Bangladesh Railway notification stated that freight trains will run from August 12 [Monday], mail/express/local/commuter trains from August 13 [Tuesday], and intercity trains from August 15 [Thursday].
However, two train services – Parabat and Jamalpur Express – will remain suspended for the time, reads the notification, adding that advanced tickets for inter-city trains can be purchased from Monday after 5pm.
