Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9:00am on Monday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the northern part of the country," it added.
The weather may remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin.
The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Madaripur, Rajshahi, Ishurdi and Khulna, while the minimum temperature on Monday was recorded at 22.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Rangpur and Sayedpur.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00am Monday was recorded at 92 mm at Tetulia.
The sun will set at 6:34 pm Monday and will rise at 5:15 am tomorrow (Tuesday) in the capital.
