Residents of Dhaka got a reprieve from the sizzling summer heat on Tuesday morning as rain drenched the capital.
Earlier, the weather department predicted showers in parts of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, it said.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at isolated places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi and minimum temperature today was 24 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda.
