Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the region of Panchagarh in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am, on Friday. 

"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the region of Panchagarh in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow (Saturday)," said a Met Office bulletin issued here this morning.

The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, the bulletin added.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 60 mm at Cox's Bazar in Chattogram division.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and the minimum temperature today was 20.0 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.

Friday’s sunset at Dhaka at 5.26pm and tomorrow's (Saturday) sunrise will be at 6.00am.
