Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the councillor of Godagari Municipality in Rajshahi along with heroin worth Tk 1 crore from Mohishalbari area on Friday.
The arrestee Mofazzol Hossain alias Mofa, 57, councillor of Godagari Municipality was held at 8am, said a press release of RAB.
The law enforcers held Mofa during a drive conducted acting on a tip-off in Mohishalbari area.
Around 1.33 kg heroin which would worth approximately Tk 1.30 crore was seized from his possession.
