Another case under the Arms Act has been filed against M Saifur Rahman, the prime accused in the gang-rape of a woman at a hostel of Murari Chand (MC) College in Sylhet.
Police recovered arms from Safur’s room in MC College earlier in the day.
Kaiyum Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Shahporan Police Station in Sylhet has confirmed the matter to media.
Earlier in the day, a case was filed against nine people in connection with the gang-rape of a woman at a hostel of the college in Sylhet.
Victim’s husband filed the case with Shahporan Police Station.
Six of the accused are identified as M Saifur Rahman, Shah Mahbubur Rahman Rony, Tareq Ahmad, Arjun Laskar, Robiul Islam and Mahfujur Rahman, all of them are activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
