Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa of Bangladesh Navy has taken over charge as new chairman of Mongla Port Authority (MPA).
He formally assumed office on Monday through signing the charge hand over book of MPA, says a press release issued by MPA deputy secretary Md Makruzzaman yesterday.
He replaced former MPA chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahjahan.
Earlier, Rear Admiral Musa was the commander of Khulna naval area of BNS Titumir in Khalishpur.
Mohammad Musa joined the Bangladesh Navy in 1985. He got commission rank from the executive branch of Royal Navy of Malaysia on July 1, 1987.
He took training in Mirpur Defence Services Command and Staff College, Inter Forces War College of France, National Defence College and Royal College of Defense Studies of England.
He completed MPhil degree in 2015 with four masters degrees from different important colleges including Kings College of London.
Mohammad Musa was the director of different Directorates of Naval headquarter and Naval Administrative Authority of Dhaka side by side in-charge of different Naval base and Ships during his service tenure.
He was also the Commander of modern Frigate Bangladesh Naval Ship Bangabandhu and biggest naval base Esa Khan.
