The price of gold in Bangladesh has reached a record high with an increase of Tk2,915 to reach Tk72,783 per bhori.
New prices will be effective from Friday, according to the website of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus).
As per the website, 22-carat gold will cost Tk72,783, Which was Tk69867 in the past, a Tk2,915 hike per bhori according to the new price.
Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold has been increased to Tk69,634 and 18-carat gold to Tk60,886.
However, the price of silver will remain unchanged at Tk933 per gram.
Previously on June 23, the Bajus raised the price of gold by Tk5,825, which was a record amount of hike at that time.
