Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Finance's Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) to create 10,000 more skilled workers in the construction sector.
The agreement was signed on Thursday afternoon
on behalf of REHAB by REHAB President Alamgir Shamsul Alamin (Kajal) while Executive Project Director (Additional Secretary) Md. Zahidul Haque signed the papers on behalf of SEIP, said a press release.
Due to the Corona situation, the agreement was signed separately in their respective offices.
Around 10,000 construction workers have received training through REHAB training institutes and outsourcing in 15 institutes so far.
Training is being provided free of charge. At the same time, scholarships are given to each trainee. The duration of training are of three months. At the end of the training, students will have employment opportunities in the country and abroad.
