Remaining testimony in Abrar’s murder case on Jan 31

A Dhaka court today fixed January 31 for taking the remaining testimony of DB Inspector Wahiduzzaman, also investigating officer in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad.

Judge Abu Jafar Mohammad Kamruzzaman of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 set the date today for the rest of the testimony and cross-examination of the investigating officer.

Today was fixed for the cross-examination and testimony of the officer, but the court set a new date as the Stenographer was sick.

Out of a total of 60 witnesses in the case, 46 testified.

The body of a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET, Abrar Fahad’s was recovered from the corridor between the ground floor and second-floor stairs of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET on October 7, 2019

The next day, the autopsy of Abrar was completed at the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital morgue.

The victim’s father Barkat Ullah filed a murder case with Chawkbazar police station.

Three others have been absconding since the case was filed.

On September 15, Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 Judge Abu Zafar Kamruzzaman framed charges against the accused.
