A court in Dhaka has set March 23 for submitting the probe report against Sultana Ahmed, former general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, in a Digital Security Act (DSA) case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order as police failed to submit the report to the court on Sunday.
On November 6 last year, the Rapid Action Battalion-3 arrested Sultana from her Gulshan residence. As she was produced before the court on the same day, the court placed her on a two-day remand.
Former president of Gopalganj district Chhatra League Abdul Hamid filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station.
According to the case statement, Sultana made hateful and offensive comments about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina while attending a BNP rally in front of the public media on September 1, 2022.
