A fire service team has been conducted a search and rescue operation for a teenager named Kamal who went missing after falling into a drain in Chattogram.
“The fire service team started a rescue operation upon receiving the news. However, the operation is being hampered due to the massive amount of garbage in the drain”, Deputy Director of Fire Service Farooq Hossain said while confirming the matter to The Business Post.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, two teenagers named Rakib and Kamal fell into a drain in the Muradpur area of the city.
Although Rakib was able to get up from the ditch, Kamal remained missing.
Relevant sources said that although Rakib was rescued, he kept the matter of Kamal's disappearance a secret for fear of trouble.
Later, Rakib Informed Kamal’s family when they started searching for Kamal’s disappearance on Monday night.
