With Eid-ul-Azha less than a month away, RK Agro Farm Ltd, a livestock breeding farm of RK Group of Industries in Narayanganj is expecting good prices for their cattle in the market for sacrificial animals.

The farm is already humming with farmers and traders offering sacrificial animals to buyers.

Sources said, the farm, known for its quality animals and customer service, has earned the trust of buyers across Narayanganj for several years.

This year's special attraction is an American Brahman breed cow named Hamza, the champion of the 2023 Dhaka Cattle Expo, Bangladesh's largest cattle show. The asking price for this champion cow is Tk 50 lakh.

Despite less than a month left for Eid, buyers have already begun visiting the farm. Customers from surrounding districts come to see the cows, with many booking animals by placing advance deposits.

Nader Ahmed, a resident of Dhaka's Khilgaon Chowrasta, a regular customer of the farm said, "I've been buying animals here for years, not just for myself but for my relatives as well.”

"The farm is spacious, clean, and uses organic feed, which makes the meat delicious,” he added.

Faisal, another buyer from Maniknagar, echoed Ahmed's sentiments. "The farm's environment is perfect, even for children," he said. "They have a wide variety of breeds available."

RK Agro Farm offers around 600 cows of various breeds and sizes, including Desi, Sahiwal, Haryana, Sindhi, and Brahman. Additionally, they have 60 buffaloes and 50 goats available for purchase. Prices vary depending on the size and breed of the animal, with buffaloes ranging from Tk 3.5 to 5 lakh and goats from Tk 1 to 2.5 lakh.

"We have a special American Brahman breed cow that won the 2023 Cattle Expo," said Samad, supervisor of RK Agro Farm.

"Many people come just to see this champion cow,” he added.

The farm offers a unique service for buyers who lack space to keep their animals after purchase. Customers can keep their purchased animals at the farm until Eid, with only the cost of animal feed being charged.

Zakir Hossain, a resident of Siddhirganj, appreciates the farm's convenience and quality. "They offer good quality animals at reasonable prices," he said. "Plus, I do not have to pay extra market fees, and they take care of the animals if I need them to."

Rezaul Karim, from Pathantuli, another customer said, "The proximity and ability to keep the animal here until Eid are big advantages.”

"The farm uses natural feed, which makes their animals very healthy. That's why we choose RK Agro Farm for our Qurbani needs,” he added.

With its diverse selection, exceptional customer service, and commitment to quality, RK Agro Farm is well-positioned to be a popular choice for Eid-ul-Azha this year.

Narayanganj Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Asadul Islam said RK Agro Farm fattens cows and goats organically.

The farm won first place in the Animal Exhibition held in 2024 in Narayanganj Sadar. The meat of the farm animal is not harmful to the human body.

“We always supervise the farm,” he added.
