Thirteen more Covid patients died in the past 24 hours at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital till Saturday morning, according to the district's health officials.
"Of the deceased, five were Covid-19 positive while eight others died with Covid-like-symptoms, said Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, director of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).
Among the fatalities, seven were from Rajshahi, three from Natore, one each from Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Pabna district.
With 61 new cases, a total of 478 people are currently undergoing Covid treatment against 405 Covid-dedicated beds hospital where 20 patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
On Friday, 188 samples were tested in the hospital's lab and 366 in the PCR lab. Of these, 38 people were identified as Covid positive in the RMCH Lab and 111 in the PCR Lab.
As per the test ratio of the samples, the infection rate in Chapainawabganj was 27.22 per cent, and 26.74 per cent in Rajshahi.
So far, 450 people died at RMCH till Saturday morning.
The RMCH on June 29 reported 25 deaths from the novel coronavirus infection, which is the highest single-day death toll at the hospital so far.
