Seventeen more patients including eight women died at the Covid unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Thursday morning.
"Of the deceased, six were Covid-19 positive, eight died with Covid-like-symptoms and three with post-Covid complexities,” said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
Among the fatalities, five hailed from Rajshahi, four from Natore, three each from Pabna and Chapainawabganj, one each from Naogaon and Kushtia districts.
With newly admitted 39 patients, a total of 391 patients are undergoing treatment against 513 beds at the Covid unit where 20 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he added.
Some 36 patients returned home after being cured during the time.
