Agitated workers of Cotton Textile, a garment factory in Mirpur, took to the streets on Saturday demanding payment of due wages.
The workers blocked the road in front of the post office, adjacent to the Eastern Cinema Hall, at Mirpur-11 around 9:00am causing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
Pallabi police station Inspector (patrol) Afzal Hossain confirmed the matter.
“We have spoken to the owners and workers of Cotton Textile. We are trying to resolve the issue through negotiations,” said Afzal.
