Hundreds of readymade garment (RMG) factory workers have been seen entering Dhaka again from 21 districts in the south-west of the country on Saturday.
They were spotted while entering the capital through Paturia-Daulatdia route and the Dhaka-Aricha highway.
People returning to Dhaka said, to their knowledge, factories in and around Dhaka will open from tomorrow. Therefore they are returning back to Dhaka to join work using any means of transportation and paying extra fare.
Police in Manikganj said, a crowd of Dhaka-bound garment workers has been visible in the area since Friday night.
Although no public transport is allowed on the road, many were seen walking towards Dhaka evading the police, the official said.
