The investigative committee on the Rohingya camp fire that gutted over 2000 houses on Sunday found evidence that the fire incident was pre-planned over establishing dominance.

Additional District Magistrate and head of the investigation committee Abu Sufian submitted the report to the District Commissioner on Sunday evening.

The report also made 10 recommendations besides explaining the cause of the incident.

“The blaze started at 2.30pm in the D block of Camp-11. Several places also caught fire within a few minutes. It proves that the incident was part of sabotage,” said Abu Sufian.

According to the investigation committee, around 2200 houses were charred in that fire where more than 15000 Rohingya have been affected and about 2000 Rohingya were injured.
