A 38-year-old Rohingya man was stabbed to death by some unknown miscreants at Ukhiya’s Jamtoli camp in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Badsha Mia, son of Sirajul Mia, a resident of Jamtoli Rohingya camp in Ukhiya.

Ukhiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hossain said some 4-5 miscreants called Badsha Mia out of his house, beat him and then fled after stabbing him.

Locals rescued Badsha and took him to MSF Hospital where a doctor declared him dead.

The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.

The motive behind the murder is yet to be known, he added.
