The Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation has started administering vaccines to its employees at overseas construction sites to protect them from Covid-19.
The first to receive a batch of Sputnik V medication, were the employees of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) construction site at Ishwardi, Pabna.
It said a team of medical workers from Federal Medical and Biological Agency arrived in Bangladesh to begin the vaccination campaign.
On the first day, 800 employees of JSC ASE Branch Office and representatives of subsidiary construction companies (Trest RosSEM, NIKIMT-Atomstroy, Energospetsmontazh) applied for the vaccination. Vaccine for 1,000 persons was delivered to RNPP.
“JSC ASE takes health support of its employees very seriously as it is an integral part of our safety culture. Considering the importance of RNPP construction project, we have become the first international project where Rosatom arranged for the vaccination of employees against COVID-19. This is not only a sharp evidence of a socially conscious approach, but also the key to success in implementation of tasks set for the project”, said Alexey Deriy, JSC ASE Vice President – Director for RNPP Construction Project.
