Rupali Bank Deputy General Manager (DGM) Shahidul Islam Khan Ripon died of coronavirus on Friday (May 15).
Rupali Bank authorities said Shahidul was admitted to Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital on April 30 with symptoms of coronavirus. He died at 8:30 pm while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
He was 50.
Shahidul Islam Khan Ripon used to work at Rupali Bank’s head office in the capital.
He is survived by his wife and children.
Shahidul Islam Khan Ripon studied mathematics at Dhaka University and his home town is in Tangail district.
