Russia is willing to provide its ‘Sputnik-5’ coronavirus vaccine to Bangladesh. On the other hand, South Korea is committed to providing tow PCR machines and Antigen test kits to Bangladesh.
"Russia is interested in providing the vaccine on Government-to-Government (G2G) basis," Health Minister Zahid Maleque came up with the remark on Monday during a press briefing at the Secretariat.
The Health Minister also added that Russia will allow Bangladesh to produce its coronavirus vaccine if there is an opportunity.
He said Russia has already written to Bangladesh about its capabilities.
Moreover, the minister added that “South Korean government will provide two PCR machines and Antigen test kits worth USD 8 lakh for testing the deadly virus."
He also said that so far, only China has expressed their wish to perform human trial of their vaccine in Bangladesh.
