An event named "Candle of Memory" was organised by the Russian House in Dhaka in cooperation with the Liberation War Academy Trust and with the participation of freedom fighter representatives from various districts of Bangladesh and NGO workers to honour the 27 million Soviet people who died in this terrible war.

The program began with a minute's silence to pay tribute to their memory, followed by the lighting of memorial candles and wreath lying in memory of the soldiers who gave their lives in the war, according to a press release issued by the Russian House.
