Director of S Alam group Morshedul Alam died of novel coronavirus while undergoing treatment at Chattogram General Hospital on Friday (May 22).
Murshedul was 68 at the time of his death.
Dr Abdur Rab senior consultant of the hospital confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
He said, "Morshedul Alam breathed his last at 10:50 pm. He had a ring implanted in his heart. He was brought to the hospital in a critical condition."
