The High Court on Monday ordered the lower court to provide documents of fraudulence case of JKG Health Care Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury to her lawyers.

A bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order.

Sabrina's lawyer advocate Saifuzzaman Tuhin was present before the court while deputy attorney general Md Sarwar Hossain Bappy represented the state.

Earlier on 03 September, Dr Sabrina applied to the High Court to stay the proceedings of the case filed at Tejgaon Police Station on charges of fraudulence and forgery.

Besides, Sabrina also appealed against the dismissal order seeking relevant documents of the case in the Judicial Court.

Dr Sabrina is currently in jail in a case filed over issuing fake Covid-19 certificates.

A Dhaka court framed charges against eight people including Sabrina in the case on August 20.

On August 5, Md Liakot Ali, an inspector of Detective Branch (DB) and also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, submitted the charge sheet before the court.

According to the charge sheet, JKG Health Care provided 27,000 coronavirus reports without following proper test procedures while most of them were found fake.

Police arrested Dr Sabrina on July 12 on the charge of fraud and forgery.
