Advance sale of long distance buses tickets for homebound people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr started in the capital on Friday morning.
Tickets for April 26 to May 1 are being sold at several inter-district bus counters in the capital. However, on the first day, there was not much crowd at the counters.
People involved in ticket selling said that the demand for the tickets of April 28 and 30 is high.
They also said that tickets are being sold on a first come first served basis.
Chairman of Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners Association Ramesh Chandra Ghosh said advance tickets are being sold from all terminals and counters in Dhaka.
Advance tickets are available at various inter-district bus counters in Gabtali, Sayedabas, Kalyanpur, Asadgate, Arambagh and Moucha.
