Square Group founder Samson H Chowdhury's wife Anita Chowdhury passed away on Sunday.
She died while undergoing treatment at the capital's Square Hospital at 1:06pm, confirms Maasranga Television.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at Anita Chowdhury’s death.
In a message of condolence, the minister said she played a unique role in running the Square Group by giving directives.
He paid rich tribute to Anita, also known as 'Square Mata' and mother of Square Group present Chairman Samuel S Chowdhury, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited vice chairman Ratna Patra, its Managing Director Tapan Chowdhury and Square Toiletries Ltd Managing Director Anjan Chowdhury.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
