Saudi Arabia finally announced plans to hire doctors and nurses from Bangladesh under an agreement signed back in 2022. Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Issa bin Youssef Al-Dahilan made the disclosure in an interview with Arab News.
In the interview published Friday, the ambassador said, “Saudi Arabia has not hired any medical personnel from Bangladesh for a long time. But now we have started recruiting them because they have already reached our standards. This number will increase by leaps and bounds soon.
“A team from the Saudi health ministry visited Bangladesh twice last year. They will continue to visit Bangladesh to recruit more medical personnel.”
