Dhaka, Riyadh talk on enhancing trade, connectivity

Dhaka and Riyadh on Sunday discussed enhancing trade, investment and connectivity between the two brotherly nations.

The discussion was held when Saudi Arabian Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed El Khereiji called on Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud in Kampala, Uganda on the sideline of the Third South Summit of the G77.

At the meeting held on Sunday, Khereiji congratulated Hasan for assuming his new role as foreign minister.

The two dignitaries also discussed various issues of mutual interest.

The foreign minister is leading the Bangladesh delegation to the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Third South Summit of G77.

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Muhammad A Muhith and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda Tareque Muhammad, among others, are accompanying Hasan Mahmud.
