A schoolboy was killed in Bogura’s Sariakandi upazila on Sunday night.

With this, three people were killed in separate incidents within the last 24 hours in the district.

The latest victim, Zisan Bab, son of Rafiqul Islam from Hatiyapara in Chikashi union under Dhunat upazila, was a seventh-grade student at a local school in Dhunat.

Rasheduzzaman Russel, chairman of Kamalpur Union Parishad under Sariakandi upazila, said the boy was killed in an area adjacent to both Dhunat and Sariakandi upazilas.

Quoting locals, he said three boys including Zisan were clashing in a field and one of them escaped and informed Zisan's family.

Zisan’s family came and found him dead in the field in the Sultanara area around 11:30pm.

Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Sariakandi police station said the teenager's body was found in the field.

Saikat Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Dhunat police station, said the victim had marks on his neck and injuries from a sharp weapon.

Earlier in the day, police recovered the body of an autorickshaw driver from Sabgram Kursha area of Sadar Upazila. Besides, on Saturday night, the body of another person named Brazil, a suspect in 29 cases, was also recovered from Kahaloo upazila.
