Educational activities in all schools, colleges and polytechnic institutions across the country have been halted until further notice. The education ministry made the announcement in a circular issued on Tuesday evening.
Taking into consideration the safety of school and college students, all secondary (school), higher secondary (college) level educational institutions and polytechnic institutes will remain shut until further orders, as per the notification.
Students of various educational institutions across the country are protesting for quota reforms in government jobs, which in turn has heated up Bangladesh’s atmosphere with clashes, deaths and injuries.
The Bangladesh Chhatra League has announced to resist the protesters. In some areas, leaders and activists of Awami League and other affiliates are also seen with BCL men.
Awami League-Chhatra League clashes with the protesters have so far resulted in six deaths in the country.
