A Satkhira court sent Mohammed Shahed alias Shahed Karim, chairman of Regent Group, to jail after a 10-day remand in an arms case.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Rajib Kumar Roy passed the order on Wednesday (August 5).
Satkhira Court Inspector of Police Amal Kumar Roy confirmed the matter to the Business Post.
Earlier in the day, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) produced Shahed before the court. After the hearing, the judge ordered to send him to jail.
Earlier on 26 July, two courts in Dhaka and Shatkhira have placed Shahed on a 38-day remand in five cases.
