Shahed was on the move and was frequently changing his location in order to evade arrest.
ADG (Operational) Rab, Col. Tofayel Mustafa Sarwar told the journalists; "We managed to arrest him (Md Shahed) at 5.20 am in the morning after we were sure of his location and the operation started at 2 am."
Sarwar said this to journalists at Tejgaon airport in cantonment.
"Shahed was trying to cross the border to flee to India with help from local thugs. He was wearing a veil. We are also working on to identify those who were assisting him to cross the border," Sarwar added.
