Dhaka University (DU) Shahidullah Hall Debating Club will organise “8th Muhammad Shahidullah Memorial Debate Fest 2022” from March 24-27.
Students from different debating clubs, schools and colleges will participate in the competition, said a statement on Sunday.
A total number of 39 clubs will participate in the inter-club - 18 clubs from the University of Dhaka, two clubs from Jahangirnagar University and one each of Jagannath University, Bangladesh University of Professionals, BUET, Rajshahi University, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka Medical College, Eden Mohila College, North South University, United International University, Green University, Brac University, East West University, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Daffodil International University, Eastern University, Manarat University, ASA University, American International University, will participate.
Moreover, 24 colleges will participate in the inter-college section of the debate - Holy Cross School and College, Notre Dame College, Viquarunnisa Noon School and College, Dhaka College, Adamjee Cantonment College, Rajbari College Debating Society, Government Science School and College, Mirpur Cantt Public School and College, BAF Shaheen School and College, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt Anwar Girls' College, Dhaka Commerce College, Dhaka City College, Willes Little Flower School and College, Remians Debating Society, Milestone College, RAJUK School and College, Tejgaon College, Dhaka Residential Model College, Khulna Debating Society, BSMA Rouf School and College, St Joseph School and College, St Gregory's High School and College, Kushtia Debating Society, and Rajshahi City College.
Eighteen schools across the country will also participate in the competition.
