Additional Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidur Rahman, who has been transferred to the police headquarters, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
A notification has been issued by the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs with the appointment on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Barrister Md who continues to be the Director General of RAB. Haroon-or-Rashid has been transferred as Additional Inspector General of Police in police headquarters.
On the other hand, Mainul Hasan, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). At the same time, DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman has been attached to the police headquarters as Additional Inspector General of Police.
