Shipra's laptop among 29 devices in RAB custody
RAB has taken 29 devices including Shipra's laptop into custody.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on early Friday took 29 devices and money including laptops, used by slain Maj (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan and his aide Shipra Rani Debnath, into their custody from Ramu Police Station.

Following a court order, a team of RAB led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Biman Chandra Karmakar went to Ramu police station and took the goods recovered from Nilima Resort in Himchhari area of ​​Ramu upazila in Cox's Bazar, ASP Karmakar confirmed The Business Post.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ramu Police Station Abul Khair was present at the time, said ASP Karmakar.

After arresting Maj (retd) Sinha's associate Shipra Debnath, Ramu police confiscated various devices including laptops, hard-disks, pendrives and money. On August 19, upon the plea of the RAB investigation officer, a court ordered to hand over 29 devices including laptops and hard-disks and the money in the custody of Ramu police station to RAB. But the Ramu police appealed to the court to keep the goods in their custody.

On August 20, Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Judge Helal Uddin dismissed the police plea. The court upheld the order to take all the items including devices seized by the police from Nilima Resort at Ramu Police Station into RAB custody

Meanwhile, RAB has continued to grill the accused in the murder of Maj (retd) Sinha - Teknaf Police Station's dismissed OC Pradeep Kumar Das, Baharchhara Police Investigation Center's dismissed in-charge Liaquat Ali and SI Nanda Dulal Rakshita - for the fourth day on Friday.

Seven people, including four dismissed members of the police, were sent to jail on Thursday after being remanded in the custody of RAB in the case. 

Statements of the accused revealed shocking information, according to RAB.

On the night of July 31, Maj (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan was shot dead at the Shamlapur Armed Police Battalion check post on his way back to Nilima Resort in Himchhari area of ​​Cox's Bazar after shooting a video on Marishbunia hill in Teknaf.
