A fire broke out at a shoe factory at Jatrabari in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
The fire erupted at the factory located in the Kajla Mridha Bari area, said Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the control room of Fire service and Civil Defence.
The fire service was informed about the incident around 2:20pm, he said.
Six firefighting units rushed to the spot and were trying to douse the fire, he added.
The fire was brought under control at 3:15pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence control room said in an update. The source of fire could not be ascertained yet and no casualties have yet been reported.
