A fire broke out at a shoe factory at Suritola in Old Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.
“The fire erupted around 4:00pm at the factory housed on the second floor of a four-storey building,” confirmed Rojina Akter, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
“Five firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 4:38pm,” she added.
No incident of casualties was reported.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
