The government has decided to allow all shops, shopping malls and markets stay open from 10:00am to 8:00pm daily from August 11.
The cabinet division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
All private and government offices will be allowed to reopen from August 11, the notice said.
The government also allowed the movement of public transports from August 11.
Besides, restaurants and hotels will be allowed to stay open with half of their capacity during the same period daily, the notice further said.
All health guidelines must be maintained during this period, the notification said.
Bangladesh is currently under a strict lockdown that came into effect on July 23. It was due to end on August 5.
However, considering the worsening Covid-19 pandemic situation, the lockdown was extended till August 10.
